Abstract: The goals of this project are to investigate heat-induced macroscopic bone changes and to develop new analytical methods specifically developed for burned bones. In order to do that, the research is being carried out in a modern crematorium and focuses on the analysis of the remains from cremated contemporary individuals. The results will allow for the improvement of bioanthropological methods.
