He holds a PhD (stricto sensu) and a master’s degree in Social History of Regional Culture from the Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (UFRPE), in the research line “Culture, Heritage and Memory”. He graduated in History and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences from UFRPE. He is an archaeologist and holds a PhD in Archaeology from PPGArq at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), where he is developing the project entitled “Death through Time: The cemeteries of the archaeological site of Pilar, in the urban dynamics of Recife, PE, Brazil, between the 16th and 19th centuries”. As a Visiting Researcher at the Center for Research in Anthropology and Health of the University of Coimbra, and a beneficiary of the CAPES Sandwich Doctoral Program Abroad, from November 2024 to April 2025, he has been developing the doctoral internship project entitled “From there to here: burial sites in Portugal between the 16th and 19th centuries”, where he has sought to understand through funerary anthropology, biological anthropology and the study of paleopopulations, the way of life of past societies. He works professionally in archaeological activities such as excavations, curation of remains and preparation of archaeological collections and archives, in addition to archaeological explorations. He is an active member of several academic initiatives such as laboratories and research groups, such as NEPARQ/UFRPE, LOA/UFPI, LEDUPE/UFPE.
