I have a bachelor in Anthropology and a master in Forensic Anthropology by the University of Coimbra. During my academic years, I developed a huge interest in paleopathology, in studying past populations and in research and analyze of historical documents.

In the academic year 2025/2026 I´ll integrate the Anthropology doctoral program, where my research will focus in a transdisciplinary study of structural scoliosis in four Portuguese osteological identified skeletons from different historical periods. I´ll also apply the methodology of bioarchaeology of care, in order to understand how certain individuals who suffered from serious and disabling pathologies were seen, integrated and treated by the community in which they were inserted.
