Nutritionist graduated from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2005). She completed her PhD in Nursing at the Nursing School of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in 2013. She is currently an associate professor in the Department of Nutrition at the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She leads the Group of Studies, Research and Practices in Food, Environment and Health (GEPPAAS) and is a member of the Belo Horizonte Urban Health Observatory (OSUBH), the Research Group in Epidemiology, Nutrition and Public Health (PENSAP) and the research group Food for Justice: Power, Politics and Food Inequalities in a Bioeconomy. She has experience in Public Health Nutrition, working mainly on the following topics: nutrition, chronic non-communicable diseases, nutritional epidemiology and food environment analysis. She is a productivity fellow of the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq/Brazil).
