Schneidar Guerreiro is a PhD candidate in Biological Anthropology at the University of Coimbra, under the supervision of Professors Francisco Curate and Maria Teresa Ferreira. Her research focuses on biological sex estimation from the human skull, integrating morphological, metric, and imaging (CT) approaches. The study uses samples from the Portuguese osteological collections CTI and CEI/XXI and aims to develop an integrated model applicable to both forensic and bioanthropological contexts.
She is the author of a scientific article and has presented several oral communications and posters at national and international conferences, having received the award for best scientific paper in the field of Forensic Anthropology in Brazil. She actively participates in research networks related to forensic anthropology and human skeletal biology, with particular interest in morphological variation, sexual dimorphism, and aging processes.
