Professor Xiyuan Li is a sociologist and anthropologist with several decades of research on community and migration studies in China. She is also interested in the history of art and landscape painting in China. Her research stay at CIAS (Research group “Technoscience, Society and Environment”) was part of a collaborative project on population aging and the global crisis of care and culminated in a panel presentation at the APA Conference (Panel 027: China’s growing care crisis, coordinated by Prof. Santos) in 14-18 July 2025.
