Sílvia Costa (Figueira da Foz, 1981) is a technician at Soure’s Municipal Office and is currently researching the conservation of small villages.
She graduated in Architecture in 2006 from the University of Coimbra (UC), having completed one academic year at the Università degli Studi di Firenze in Italy, under the Sócrates-Erasmus mobility program.
She has built a professional career as an architect, working alone or in partnership with various offices, such as those of José Marini Bragança and Helena Veludo. Over more than 15 years, she has worked on project development and construction management, specializing in building conservation.
In 2010, she obtained a master’s degree in Energy for Sustainability from UC, with a double specialization in Buildings and the Urban Environment and Indoor Climate and Comfort.
In 2021, she began working at the Soure Municipality in the Division of Urban Management, Planning, and Development, where she has been involved in tasks ranging from urban licensing to the implementation of urban rehabilitation projects.
She is currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture at UC, developing a thesis on the preservation of the common village and the integration of participatory conservation approaches into local administrative policies.
