Graduated since 2005 in History variant Archeology, from the University of Minho. She completed her Master’s Degree in Human Evolution and Biology, in 2015, from the Department of Life Sciences of the University of Coimbra, with the thesis “Bone palimpsest. Study of proliferative lesions of the periosteum in the Collection of Identified Skeletons of Coimbra”.
Since 2004, she has participated, directed and co-directed archaeological and anthropological interventions throughout the Portuguese national territory, and was co-responsible for the research project:” Boca do Rio: a fishing site between two seas.”
Between 2017 and 2021, she was a research fellow at the Archaeology Unit from Minho´s University, linked to the Urban requalification Project in the historic center of Valença.
Since 2021, she has been developing her doctoral project entitled “Life and death in a fortress: evolution of funeral spaces in Valença”.
