Por um lado, teve como objetivo estudar a evolu\u00e7\u00e3o do povoamento rural no munic\u00edpio de Santaella (C\u00f3rdoba, Espanha) desde a Pr\u00e9-Hist\u00f3ria at\u00e9 a Idade Contempor\u00e2nea. Nesse sentido, foram realizadas prospec\u00e7\u00f5es arqueol\u00f3gicas, com especial aten\u00e7\u00e3o aos per\u00edodos proto-hist\u00f3rico, romano e antigo tardio.
