Tiago Sousa is a Senior Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technician working at the Portuguese Blood and Transplant Institute. He has a degree in Clinical Analysis and Public Health and an MSc in ACSP – Specialization in Clinical Laboratory Haematology and Immunology, both from ESTESC-IPC, and is currently working on his PhD in Biosciences – FCTUC-UC at CIAS.

Despite his strong ties to diagnostics and clinical medicine, his interests extend to areas such as Molecular Biology, Flow Cytometry and animal experimentation applied to the fields of Immunology and Oncology. More recently, he is working towards his PhD through the multidisciplinary study of biological ageing and longevity.
