1991 at present: full-time lab manager/researcher at Laboratory of Human Genetics – Research Centre for Anthropology and Health (CIAS), Department of Life Sciences (former Department of Anthropology), University of Coimbra.

1996 at present: Collaboration with the Molecular Hematology Unit – Department of Hematology, Centro Hospitalar e Universitário de Coimbra (CHUC).
