Portuguese children’s mental health

Portuguese children’s mental health was the topic of the article published in BMC Psychiatry last month. The article Self-reported symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress in Portuguese primary school-aged children authored by Diogo Costa, Marina Cunha, Cláudia Ferreira, Augusta Gama, Aristides M. Machado-Rodrigues, Vítor Rosado-Marques, Helena Nogueira, Maria-Raquel G. Silva and Cristina Padez was highlighted in national newspapers.

National media such as Notícias UC, Sapo Lifestyle and Expresso shared some of the results, namely that boys were at a higher risk of showing symptoms of depression and anxiety compared with girls. The article is open access and is available HERE.
