Roman Presence in Amadora

Liliana Carvalho, PhD student in CIAS, was interviewed by a local TV regarding her participation in the excavations taking place in Villa Romana, Quinta da Bolacha and in Moinho do Castelinho, under the project PERA (Presença Romana na Amadora/Roman Presence in Amadora). Liliana talked not only about the latest findings but also about the importance of Biological Anthropology for the conservation, excavation and analysis of ancient human remains.

In addition to the annual field excavations with volunteer students, the project has already given rise to an exhibition at the Amadora Municipal Museum, to various communications at specialty congresses and scientific articles are being prepared.
