CIAS participated in the last Encontro para a Ciência e Tecnologia em Portugal – Encontro Ciência 2019, which took place at the Lisbon Congress Centre, Portugal, from the 8th to the 10th of July.
The meeting, which brings together entities from all over the country and overseas (the United Kingdom was the invited country), aims to bring together the latest projects in the area of Science and Technology and promotes the investigation carried on in Portugal.
CIAS was present with three oral communication: As necrópoles de Sines e Sarilhos Grandes: evidências de mobilidade intercontinental by Ana Luísa Santos, Health-related quality of life of Portuguese children according to weight status and socioeconomic inequalities by Diogo Costa and ITHANET: Information and database community portal for Hemoglobinopathies by Celeste Bento.
Two demonstrations took place on the 8th of july: A saúde dos nossos antepassados: antropologia biológica e evidências esqueléticas, with Vítor Matos, Sofia Tereso and Liliana Carvalho; and Foge da Obesidade: prevenir é a melhor opção, with Daniela Rodrigues and Margarida Pereira.
Throughout the three days of the meeting, four posters were available in screens presenting the work being developed by CIAS PhD students: Helena Dias, Liliana Carvalho, Linda Melo and Margarida Pereira.
